I’m only partially joking

It is a strange day when you realize that both Huey Lewis and his News were onto something with the whole hip/square deal.

Cathy B, if you see this, thanks for the tip on getting a rider on renter’s insurance for expensive belongings.

Your attention to Mark and Sheryl freaked me out because my BF’s name is Mark and I didn’t mention him. But then I realized you were writing to the Mark guy who left his D70 on the trunk of his car by mistake. (Funny thing, if it was a cheaper, smaller cam, not a SLR/without any rubber on it, it would have slid off and smashed)

I love that song! Although when I was growing up the hip kids still thought the square kids were most un-hip for liking ”it’s hip to be square”… I think.

“Letter B” was a truly great moment in Sesame Street. A moment repeated endlessly in reruns, to be sure, but great nonetheless. As for “Hip To Be Square” does anyone remember Huey repeatedly thrusting his mug into the camera for the entire duration of the video? Quelle UNhip, imho.

    I enjoyed sesame street’s Billy Idol-esque, “Rebel L”.
