Beautiful! I love the patterns of light and dark criss-crossing.

  • beachgal

Very neat. I love how you take pictures of things most people don’t look twice at. So cool.

    That’s gorgeous.

When you took this picture, were you on your back from said drinking activities? Man, have I been there.

It does look like the kind of thing you’d notice while stoned.
“Wow dude… look at the lights!“
“Hey man, they’re moving — quick get the camera.”

    beautiful shadows!

i noticed the last few pics were taken at fun angles. was this intentional, or just the result of that last story?

Not to sound impatient, but when are you going to post a new whore? Is there anyone in the works? Frankly, I can’t think of anyone, other than the usual b-list celebrity types.……

I agree withKimberly H-that’s a drunken, laying on the floor and giggling picture if I’ve ever seen it.

Is that the lighting fixture in the horsey bar?

Such a pretty light to be hanging from a classroom like ceiling.

  • Erin

You have a great eye for images.

  • http://www.simzgirl.com Carrie

I love the way you have captured the shadows in this picture. You have a great eye for these things.

  • http://www.sugarpants.net Candice

Yeah, pretty much what everyone else has already said.

I love how your images come out crisp and clean, even in low light. I must have shakier hands than I think; no matter how still I am, they always have a bit of blur…

I love that you’re posting more pics lately! They’re always from such a cool perspective.

has anything ever made a drop ceiling look so lovely?

  • http://thefathousewife.blogspot.com/ Fatty mcfattalot

I fucking hate drop ceilings. And frankly that light is hideous. Hope its not your house.

  • Caroline

    Wow.
Your pictures are awesome, and I hope you continue to post them frequently, because then I will just HAVE to get the D70. I doubt, however, that I will be able to come close to taking as skillfull pics as you, even with the top notch camera.

  • Torrie

Um, were you also sampling something you smoke as well as something you drink?

    DJB,
You and Dooce are pretty much almost famous. Does it feel weird to have ‘groupies’? Don’t get me wrong, the fact that I am writing this, would point to the fact that I read your sites on a regular basis…but I was wondering if that’s weird for you or Heather. I was thinking about your ‘post-modernist’ post the other day…and I’ve been watching Heather’s comments go insane…she has lots of crazies that post things there.…and post like 9 times a day each…it’s gotta be weird when everything you do (or photograph) is met with strange and overwhelming adoration. You and the Dooce are great…but either of you could take pictures of the sidewalk and get rave reviews.…does that bother you?

  • http://www.blurbomat.com dj blurb

    Yes, it is weird.

People are entitled to their opinion, and I’m opening up comments on photos to share opinions. I fully expect that someone, some day, will say that my photos suck. At least I would hope that would happen. Not everybody can love everything, right?

Dunno. Weird. Although, if the picture of the sidewalk was a good one, then surely, it would be fine if people said so, wouldn’t it?

Are you guys (Jon and Heather) ever recognized by strangers when you go out?
