I did a photoshoot in the 90s with a ton of Black Flys sunglasses. I kept these for myself. No woman I’ve met would wear them, and I loved them as mountain biking shades because the color made it easier to see the terrain. My brother told me they were too gay, but I wore them anyway. I think I saw Parry Farrell wear a pair just like them once on MTV.
I recently rediscovered them going through basement boxes. Leta loves them. Maybe she’ll be the first female to actually put them on and like wearing them. Or maybe she’ll wear them at a 90s party making fun of grunge and the neo-70s/electronic space age fashions.
