I’m so proud

I love you, Heather!

That’s really incredible, to see blogs go from nothing to Time Magazine story in five years. Of course, it’s also great to see Heather’s great writing get the recognition it deserves. Congrats to the entire dooce clan!

This is awesome news! Congrats to Heather! I’m sure Jon doesn’t mind being the passer-on’r of congrats to his lovely and talented wife!

Heather has an amazing talent for writing. I, for one, am very glad she’s sharing it with all of us out here in Internet-land.

  • beOHbe

Congrats. But I’m sure it was an easy choice for them.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen the term “momoir” before I read that blurb. Am I just behind the times?

  • Matt

Your wife’s website is sick and gross.
What ashame that an innocent child has to grow up with someone as rude and uncaring as your wife. Disgusting. You should be ashamed to be married to her!! People like her make me want to work in child protection – how dare she publish such awful things!

That is so cool. Now DOOCE is part of history! Crazy! And great!

I hope you delete that comment above – cos it does indeed suck! Anyone with a sense of humour can see the FUNNY SIDE of Dooce.com. How is it ‘sick and gross’ exactly?? Obviously he didn’t look as far as the ‘monthly newsletters’. GET A LIFE.

Anyway, congrats to Heather for all her hard work, and I’m sure a very drunken night is allowed in celebration! Poop and Chuck stories for everyone!

Congratulations to the both of you. Heather is clearly a gifted writer and her satire on life and motherhood is a joy to read everyday. Who knew you could get famous writing about constipation?

Are they kidding? The exploding poop stories are THE BEST PART!

  • Kelly

Congrats to Heather!! I have been reading both of your websites for about 2 weeks and I love them both! There are many, many stories on Heather’s site that make me sit there and think ” Wow – thank God I am not the only person(Mom) who thinks and feels that way!”

that Matt guy can’t be serious. he just can’t. i feel sorry for him, you know, to be born without a sense of humor and the ability to grasp sarcasm. what a miserable, sad little life he must lead.

i’m really happy for heather. dooce is an awesome site and i’ve been reading it for about a year now…maybe more. heather is super talented and any woman our age would give anything to be as cool as she is…well, at least I would :)

    go blurbodoocery!

all these narrow-field trolls (aka Matt), i have this compelling urge to get my eyes on whatever it is YOU created, that YOU are proud of, that YOU consider an artistic nugget excreted from YOUR souls.

i suspect they know full-well how shallow the media you create trully is, and how tragically lemming the vehicles by which you allow yourselves to BE creative. When was it? How long has it been?

if they cannot appreciate art, be it graphic design or overtly sarcastic writing or progressive child-rearing, then i compell them to proffer up THEIR version of the same. Collaborate & contribute, or migrate elsewhere.

I suppose thats the flip-side value of having comments. why have them if you’re/we’re all not willing to include the comments against?

but i think Thumpers father said it best when he said:
“If you dont have nothin nice to say… then dont say nothin at all.”
