    Blurbodooce, I feel the need to point out that you BOTH are very amusing and talented writers. I enjoy reading BOTH sites daily. I find it very refreshing to find a married couple, like ourselves, that is not afraid to write about the true frustration of having children. Of course you love Leta. As a mother I see it in everything Heather writes.
    Matt, I’m sorry your mommy never watched Boobah with you even when she didn’t want to. Sounds to me like she was too busy sucking every bit of humor out of you. Why dont ya come on over and I’ll buy you a hapy meal. Even you can appreciate a happy meal, right?

    I still think Heather’s site is disgusting. She even comments herself on the number of hate emails she receives. Disgusting. What an awful woman! Horrible! I would never marry someone who would even THINK about publishing horrible material about a defenceless child on the net. Yuck!!!!!!!!!! You should be locked away.

    by what yardstick do you measure “extremely successful”? that scale slides into some dark fucking territory, so perhaps some examples or frames or URLs are in order. but i must repsect your apprehension for revealing too much of yourself.
    personally, it never occurred to me to measure the success of anything i’ve created by the volume of its consumption. more or less flies in the face of my whole purpose in crafting these things.

    Fabulous. Well deserved. I’ve laughed and cried a thousand tears while reading dooce’s site. I’ve encountered other moms out there in the etherworld in other areas of my life who also read dooce. How cool is that?! I’m in TX, they’re in UT, UK, Canada, Mexico as well as other parts of the good ole USofA and we all found dooce on our own and find her humor and life on the page so familiar. Familiar and she points out the humor that we, who are in the midst of the 24/7 parenting or depression or home-improvements or dog-walking, cannot find ourselves.
