Holy Shit

This is insane. We’re in for a crazy year. It really gets interesting about page 15; where the goods start to get revealed as to the web of lies and what the government is investigating.

The GOP-controlled Congress better start asking some questions. Or else it won’t be GOP-controlled past next November.

I’ve kept Abramoff off my whore list for too long. He’s still a whore, but damn, we haven’t seen this kind of corruption for a long time. It’s going to hit both parties and cause scurrying and spinning like never before.

Hey, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

And right here in UT, Chris Cannon just gave back money that had been personally donated to him by Abramhoff (about $2000, I think). Of course, he’s keeping the money the indian tribes gave on the advice of Abramhoff.

And there that whole MURDER of Konstantinos Boulis from whom Abramhoff and his partner fraudelently bought a casino.

Messy stuff. But at least no one received oral sex in the oval office from an intern, THAT would be REALLY bad, you know.

Don’t you guys know that only sex is immoral?

Anything else, no matter how sleazy or underhanded, is just good business.

At least, that’s the message I get from observing contemporary American politics.

Yes, indeedy. Bush and his evil minions’s karma is coming around to bite them in the ass! Hooray! 2006 is starting out to be a very interesting year.

Now someone just needs to step up to the plate and give Bush a blow job so we can impeach his ass.

    One more thing:

I hope Abramoff has fun in jail.

Okay…someone help me out here. HOW in the world can we get an independent investigation going on? Ken Starr was hired to investigate Clinton for his real estate deals, and then files a report with umpteen mentions of nasty words paid for by our tax dollar — and yet, who is going to get Bush? I have limited knowledge of Washington red tape, but can that only be instigated by Congress? And seeing as they are Republican-controlled, can we only get an investigation by ridding the Congress of Bush cronies??

Anyone out there know how to impeach him without me having to get down on my knees and do the unthinkable?? Even in the name of patriotism, I would have to commit suicide shortly thereafter…

    Tiggerlane–

While I would LOVE to see impeachment of our current president and personally I believe that he and his administration are far more guilty of improprieties than Clinton, I think the best course of action is to vote against his party in elections in 2006. A Democratic majority in Congress would pull his teeth legislatively and he’d be more of a lame duck than he already is. So get out and vote!

And don’t just wait until the fall elections. If you really want to see change, plan on voting in the primaries and local caucuses.

And as “fun” and satisfying as impeachment of Bush would be, let’s not forget the two scariest words in the English language:

    President Cheney.

And don’t forget to add…Vice President Rice.

You know what’s really upsetting? It was only one year ago this month that George W. Bush was sworn in to his second term as President of the United States.

    ONE YEAR.

    Longest. Year. Ever.

    Katie…

    Three more to go! :-)

    I live in Texas.

If this only brings down Tom DeLay, I will be happy.

Impeaching Bush would really serve no purpose — he’s the face, not the source (actual quote — “It’s a limited spying program. It’s very limited. It’s limited to calls from outside the United States, and to calls from within the United States.”).

Cheney, Rumsfield and Rove are the brains of the operation, and the only way to get them is to Congressionally hamstring them.
