Well Well Well

Not Such A Croc

Thanks to reader Amy for alerting me to this excellent Washinton Post article about the health benefits of Crocs.

Health BENEFITS, people.

You can try to hate on me all you want, but doctors are on my side.

(I DO love that name. Maybe the croc-haters would give ‘em a second chance if we called ‘em schoenenwinkels. Hmmm.… not very masculine, though.)

I decided to check out the Crocs site for the first time after reading this and found some very cute and work appropriate shoes for my sister who clerks for a judge.

And Sergey Brin’s on your side:
“But when a nondescript Toyota pulled up — with a young man in a gray T-shirt, khakis, rubber Crocs and backpack, and a denim-dressed woman who appeared to be his girlfriend — event planners were a bit perplexed.

That is, until someone called out the name “Serge” — and the man turned around, giving away his identity as none other than Google’s megamillionaire co-founder Sergey Brin. “

My boyfriend works for a big running supply company and somebody gave him a free pair of the Crocs flip flops to try (he gets the little perks every now and then!). Well, with the baby blue sole of the shoe and a darker outsole/strap part, he thought they were a little “girly” for him. So I got them (good thing we have basically the same size foot). I have to say that while they are not the most fashionable looking flip flops, they are so super comfortable and like walking on pillows. I really do love them.… Not sure I could ever bring myself to do the Crocs clog thing (not that I have anything against clogs, I’m wearing my Simple black suede ones right now…). I just really don’t like the idea of encaseing my entire foot in rubber. I like my feet to have a little more freedom than that.

I love my Crocs! My goal is to have a pair in every color. :-)

I just got a pair of Crocs last weekend. Totally worth the $30 I paid for them at Dicks. Though, I was tempted to get the $40 pair. But, I figured I’d be ok with the $30 pair. I love them so much, I made a video about them and posted it on YouTube.

I finally bought a pair of Crocs (Caymans, in Sage). They are *insanely* comfortable! Thank you for your passive encouragement, they make my feet happy.

I’d rather live a full year less than look like a fool wearing these awful… things.

Wait. no, I’d rather be bare footed. There you go.

My new Crocs earned a picture and a post. Thanks Jon!
