Drama Data

I’ve been up and mowed the front lawn, including edging and clean-up with the Mulchinator. That is a good sign. Sweat it out. I only had a couple of stops due to nausea. Of course, during nap-time, I crashed, but at least I’m not doubled over in pain and whimpering.

I’ve compiled some data from all the days of my affliction (click image to enlarge):

I’m doing better, just need to get past the post-meal nausea and stay positive. Of course, I’m flat on my backside right this minute, but I expect a full return to work in the next day or so. Thank you all for your support.

Your stockholders and board of directors are pleased with the look of this graph.

We expect further increased performance in the next financial quarter.

Are you certain that you’re not pregnant? Migraines, nausea, and a backache… you better kiss Heather for the NINE MONTHS of this she got to endure…

kidding of course, glad to hear you’re feeling better~ =0)

Symptoms listed indicate that you may be pregnant.

  • http://thatonegirlwiththeblog.blogspot.com/ Vie

Sounds to me like you’re pregnant. Good luck with that.

no powerpoint presentation? i’m disappointed, and feel that the graph could have provided more data.

on the positive side, glad to see your up to cutting grass. think you could talk to my husband and get him to do the same? he’s not even using a deathly virus as an excuse.

I’m not doctor, but I play one on the internet! (OK, I am lame, but literally, I am about to go into labor *any minute* now.)

Never heard of migraines and fever combined, but in reading your posts, your illness sounds a lot like what my husband had a few summers ago: walking pneumonia. He was sick, he was fine, he was sick, he was fine. And when he was sick, he was really, really sick. Yet still able to grope me.

    Good luck!

Wear two pairs of clogs and call me in the morning.

  • RzDrms

i’m not a doctor either, but my suggestion would be to take a pregnancy test. you know, just to be sure.

  • kate folsom

Yeah, it does sound like pregnancy. Except the fever, I don’t know what to make of that.

It could be really bad food poisoning! Or just plain poisoning. Do you have enemies?

And with this, we bid a fond adieu to the black ink cartridge…

  • HalfwayCrucified

The graph doesn’t have half the impact of the face of death (man, I about shit my pants when I brought up the Blurb on Sunday to be greeted by ‘I am Dying’ and that happy camper), but it’s much better news.

Good to have you back. May the trend continue.

Being sick like that really does suck ass, but I’m glad to hear you are feeling a little better. According to the Dr. the last time I was violently ill like that drinking watered down lemon-lime Gatorade to re-hydrate after the horrible vomiting spells was the thing to do — I believe he said an ounce per hour. I asked him why the lemon-lime and apparently it has been shown to be the easiest to keep down. The other thing that worked really well for me is popcicles. In fact that’s all I could eat for about 2 weeks.

    Take care!

I had an excruciating ulcer for several years, right around the same time I developed quite an affinity for a sweet, little drink known as the “kamikaze”. I like to pretend those two weren’t related, but in my journies I compiled one serious puking history. Here’s some of my wisdom. Pass it along.

Worst beverage to come back up again: Mountain Dew

    Worst food item: Bagel Bites

    Discuss amongst yourselves.

Um, not for nothing, but I would figure you of all people would know that you need a baseline for any good graph: How do you feel normally?

  • http://www.blurbomat.com blurb

The temperature graph is probably the best baseline. While my temperature was high for a couple of days, it stabilized. “Normal” for me would be no graph showing for headache and nausea. Also, “normal” would involve no alien voices in my head.

Glad you’re feeling better…blah blah blah.

NOW will you listen to Heather about the clogs?

(I’m hoping that fever knocked some sense into you, young Croc Jedi.)

    Yay, you’re better!

  • http://www.serioussoft.com Jim

I’m wondering how you can keep writing and monitoring your weblog while you’re not fully recovered yet. You’re giving everybody the feeling that even if you are ill, your weblog isn’t :)

  • nobody

This just sucks but I’m very glad that you seem to be bouncing off the bottom.

  • Ranger

Yours may be the first case of a human being actually contracting a computer virus.

    Glad you are better.

  • http://www.mamaincharge.com Lauren

oh, i feel like kind of an ass. i asked you a tech question and you answered while you were sick .. and i read your blog so i should have known.

also, i found some red patent leather clogs for my daughter and thought of you! because .. when you think about clogs ‘jon armstrong’ immediately comes to mind.

glad you’re feeling a little better.

  • http://cowjumpmoon.blogspot.com Shalini

if you can make that nice a graph, you must be on the mend!

  • http://tastethehappy.wordpress.com monkeyaker

So that lasted about 9 days. Sometimes my period lasts that long too. If you go on the pill, it will get shorter. *for next time*

  • http://tastethehappy.wordpress.com monkeyaker

By the way, where did you get that chalkboard template? Is that on my mac?

  • http://stunewsandphotos.blogspot.com/ Stu mark

    A) Glad you are getting better. Was worried there for a bit.

    B) You were reminding me of Harry Shearer’s performance in The Fisher King.
