I’m sure you do. Only two are needed: “pipe” and “dream”…

Just roll your eyes and move on.

Notably absent from the article is a statement from an LDS church spokesperson. My guess is they want to stay as far away from this guy as possible.

What is interesting, though, is that the “scandalous” premise of the Da Vinci Code isn’t really somethng that gets too many Mormons upset. I think most assume he was probably married, and don’t think much more aobut it one way or the other.

    Clarification:

when I say “he was married” I am, of course, talking about Jesus. I guess I should have said “He” was married.

A Morman with a big ego? No way!

Oh dear…I know him. My parents both do work for SMA. Vern is a character for sure, but he is a great supporter of the arts and that is odd around here.

Dammit! I knew you’d scoop me! Heidi and I talked about this in a podcast we recorded yesterday (but won’t post for a while). What a kook.

I noticed three things in the interview:

    1. It’s 540 pages long.
    2. He admits he doesn’t have any solid proof.
    3. He says he wishes he did have proof.

Well now. If that isn’t scholarly research, the next thing you know, people are going to around saying the Bible isn’t true.

    Oh wait. Never mind.

I’ve heard this theory brandied about Gospel Doctrine classes and such. Shrug. Personally I don’t think the bloodline is important. Especially since the first great schism in the LDS Church was over just that: Smith’s bloodline should always be head of the Church. So it matters not.
