Closed at Noon

Taken on our quick trip to New York last week. All around this shop was hustle bustle go. But this one was locked up tight. Probably a sad story behind that gate.

    I usually fear overexposure in chunks of a photo, because then people will know I haven’t gone to Photography School, but here it works really well. The dark and the burned-out light = great tension in the composition.

    I must say, your pictures are always fantastic. I enjoy looking at them because they’re not always things that I would think to photograph.
