Gull, From the Hip
This bird decided to surprise me and as fast as I could, I started shooting. I have a few other shots in this sequence, but this last one was compositionally my favorite.
We were not dropped upon in any kind of bird bombing fashion, which made me happy. Leta asked how they peed and pooped, and I explained that birds just go whenever. They are free like that. o

WOW!
That is an amazing pic, Jon.
BTW I believe they pee and poop in a “peep”(mixed words) kinda fashion, everything in one gross package.
Love this. The sky is awesome! Nice capture!
I’m almost addicted to gull photos. I’m not sure why, but it makes for fun trips to the beach. Every time we’re water-side, I spend at least a half hour watching them and, eventually, tracking them with my camera. One would assume I’ve taken enough gull shots over the years. One would assume wrong
I love your picture. It speaks of such freedom and potential.
