Paradise Indeed
Taken on my last walk with Leta. She liked the colors but we were close to the Beach! the Beach, daddy, the Beach! that I couldn’t frame this quite like I wanted. Still, these plants grow everywhere in southern California. It’s crazy how big some of them can be. Blooms the size of a small car… o

god damn, i said god damn!
This is one more example of why I haven’t gravitated from agnosticism to atheism. Will probably never accept the world is accidental or random.
I love these flowers. I used to live in a house that had two, huge, fully mature bushes of these and they were a thing to behold. We got to cut them and bring them inside and they’d last forever.
Losing that plant was one of the things that made me saddest about leaving that place.
