Asymetric Shell

When Leta and I did our second beach walk, she was fascinated by these, but would not touch them. She did slowly warm to the sand and made a mesa-like sandcastle by picking the grains of sand one by one and distributing them like she does cheese with her nachos.

I like how these look a bit like fingers, with the lighter parts at the bottom like finger nails. Kind of freaky if you look at it that way for too long.

SO LOOK AWAY, internet.

Thank you for the finger image. I’m now not sure I’ll be going to the beach ever again.

Yeah, let’s go with fingers. Instead of what I was thinking they looked like. Which I’m not going to tell you. YOU’RE WELCOME.

and here i thought there was a reason why it was an “assymetric shell.” but it does look more like a corpse’s fingernail instead.

Kinda looks like the head gear of the aliens in Independence Day.

Eww, thanks for the fingernails image. We’ll see if I can go back to the beach… eventually…
P.S. Nice freudian slip there. For whatever reason, I also always type “assymetric”. And “hold on a sex”.

um, i was fine with it until you had to go with the zombie-like fingernail imagery.

HOWEVER. love how every shade shows in the grains. 70-200 lens?
