Golden Leaf Day
When I was growing up my mom would always call the best day of autumn “golden leaf day”. For the few days that the leaves were perfectly gold on our trees, she’d ask, “do you think today is golden leaf day?”
I can’t see golden leaves without asking that same question. o
I think this one is my favorite of your fall pictures. I like the transparency of the brightest leaves.
Yesterday right before twilight the light was radiant. I ran outside with my camera and got as many golden leaf shots as I could get in before the sun went down. Fall and spring are my favorite part of having seasons. Now I just need to get up the canyon before the snow.
Wow. Today is golden leaf day today. I knew it was a special day for our tree out front, but I didn’t know what to call it until just now.
That was an awesome five minutes I spent thinking I had taken a great fall-foliage picture. Then I saw yours.
As usual, I find comfort in telling myself it’s because your camera’s better. Sometimes, denial can be your friend.
