I heart New Orleans. And I agree with Kristan- Houstonians feel a weird sense of pride for NOLA because it’s so “close” and awesome. (I bet that never happens on the east coast for a city 6 hours away.)

Lovely shot! Growing up in Houston, NOLA was always a popular vacation for me and my parents. (“Only” a 6 hr drive.”) And especially after Hurricane Katrina, the two cities share a bond. So I hope you enjoyed your visit! My boyfriend and I just went back in May. I love the mix of old and contemporary culture in New Orleans, plus the swamps are just wicked cool. My pics probably aren’t as nice as yours, but…
