If you can make another short trip in April to the same place we would love to have you. :o )  Enjoy!

      Yes! April 20th — 22nd. Big group meet-up!

Also, Vegas is magical. Great place to go and clear your head and just let loose for awhile. Have fun!

Vegas in my memory is irrevocably linked to Leonard Cohen, always a good thing (in spite of the extortionary liquor store prices). The jaunty angle of this photo is so perfect. Drive on, sir!

    Enjoy!

    Hope you totally spoil yourself.
I’ve yet to be to Vegas. Now that I don’t drink or drug, and have no money for gambling (or hookers, for that matter), it seems kind of pointless. :)

I never comment but I’m coming from Heather’s blog and I’d just like to eay I hope you have people there for you too. Yes, it’s hard but I can see from an outside perspective (or I FEEL that) maybe she has more company surrounding her or is at a better place career wise.

It’s hurts me to see how she is able to deal, I hope you have that happiness as well. I understand. I’m hoping for just as big things for you as there are for Heather and I’m feeling for you on this side of things.
Correct me if I’m wrong and Im in no way trying to come off rude — the situation just makes me sad. =(

what the above commenter said, as well as wtf that you have to get new furniture.  allen wrenches be damned.

mostly, i want to say i thought, at the top of the photo, before i scrolled down, it was a chairlift. and, thus, i hope you’re getting out on the slim shady snow, too!

Viva Las Vegas!  I’m sure you’ll great some great photos there.  And dont’ forget to get your feedbag on at some of those buffets.

I found that hate site and read some (out of curiosity I suppose, to see what Heather is talking about, and how bad it really is — but I guess I shouldn’t be giving them the page views), and it’s pretty horrific. I’m not going to speculate about your marriage, or the reasons for the split, how could I know anything about that? — but personally I sincerely hope that the negativity you two have had to put up with for years wasn’t a contributing factor. That would be really, really sad. I honestly couldn’t put up with it. I don’t know how Heather has. On one hand I see that giving up blogging would be like letting the haters win, on the other I think mental health is the most important thing and that level of negativity can’t be good for anyone. I think you two could get amazing, flexible jobs and freelance work no problem. But of course it is sad that people can’t do what they love and express themselves without all that hate.

A hat tip to a class act.   You are doing your daughters proud.  Mom, well, not so much.

Hope you enjoy the lovely weather we are having…  That is, if you make it outside…

Did anyone see the 2/23 post on the “other” website? Wow.

  • http://twitter.com/hawkinsed Ed Hawkins

Jon, if you haven’t lawyered up by now, you had better.  Seriously.

      God you’re an ass.

Engaging legal counsel sounds like a solid recommendation, given all of the circumstances (known and unknown) and various twitter/internet implosions of late — I’m not sure why it qualifies as ass-like.  Sensible and realistic — yes.  But malicious or selfish or anything else that would qualify the person who is offering it as an “ass” … not so much.

Just as fastening a seat belt when you get into your car doesn’t mean that you will have a collision, taking the precautionary measure of consulting an attorney does not necessarily equal a death knell for a relationship.
