Last fall I saw The Shape of Things on the stage. We were in the front row: imagine the tension literally in your face. Powerful. I can’t wait to see in on screen. It’s a perfect companion to LaBute’s In The Company Of Men.

“Stevie” One of the most powerful documentaries I have ever seen. Made by the guy who did “Hoop Dreams”. It’s like “American Movie” meets “Gummo”. Warning: very, very heavy. My wife and I cried much during and after.

Sounds like a cool bunch. I’m a big fan of William H. Macy and Harvey Pekar, so The Cooler and American Splendor look like some cool pickins. Never been to a Sundance. Gotta do that sometime.
