In camera. The lens distortion, combined with my movement created the blurs. There was probably some film curvature issues as well, as this was before I started caring if the film was flat inside the camera.
Where I grew up, a grinder was a type of sandwich. This looks like a piece of mining machinery. The special effects are spooky– worthy of a science fiction movie set.
I’ve always wanted a Holga, but the fact that I can’t see the photo is the part that keeps me back. I know Holgas make these crazy photos, but I don’t want it to be too crazy or distorted that it’s a waste of a photo. Guess I’m too spoiled with digital, never using a “real” film camera.
i love my holga. i enjoy shooting in medium format, but can’t afford a hasselblad yet–and holgas achieve some pretty fun effects. do you develop your own film and prints?
I know nothing about photography or composition or any of that sort of thing, but that subject, with that effect?
Is going to give me nightmares. About The Langoliers.
I bet you could do REALLY scary stuff with irrigators, which are kind of reminiscent of the interrogation droid that injected Princess Leia in Star Wars under the best of circumstances.
Holga Rules! Nice picture. Haunted Barracks is bitchin’, too.
Great pic. Was that effect done with the camera or with Photoshop?

Oh. So you guys use like, “real” cameras and create your own effects and stuff. Damn. Fstops and whatnot. I’ve got to get with it.
I like your new colors and masthead. Looks very nice.

So have you put the D70 through its paces yet?
Good work by the way.
