Burgermaster

Seattle, Fall, 1997. 35mm Cross processed.
This was taken from a moving car, and I think it was on one of the islands… But I could be very wrong. As my brother was driving, I think I snapped this buzzed on Red Hook. I think it was 12% alcohol by weight barley wine and because I wasn’t drinking very much at the time (as opposed to the post 9/11 drinking sponsored by Costco) it hit me pretty hard.
I dedicate this to my boy, Kent. He loves red meat. He grills red meat good.

you were on 520, which is the (north) bridge that crosses the water. At the time, you were in the Bellevue/Kirkland side of the water, and Burgermaster is on the north side of the bridge, which places it in Kirkland.
hope that solves the mystery
I love seeing all your Seattle pics. Since I don’t live there anymore, it’s a nice bit o’nostalgia.

I would be so tempted to climb that sign. Look at the structure of that thing. You could climb up there and do a little dance.

So sad. Where is the BurgerLincoln when you need him. Oh yeah, shot square in the tomato.
END BURGERSLAVERY!!
This picture disgusts me. Show a little empathy.
This comment was not funny. I apologize.

I read that as Burger Pies! Which totally grossed me out.
Carry on.

Interesting tidbit about that place. They are one of the first places in the area to do their ordering by wireless PDA. In their backyard is the technical campus of a community college, and we often talked about hacking the network so we could order lunch from our seats.

I’d totally dig burger pies. Which I also thought it said. Mmm. think about that. Meat pies, but with bacon and carmelized onions… (darn it. Now I’m going to try to make that when I get home from work. Since I happen to have a pound of ground meat calling out to me from the fridge). Little BBQ sauce… yummers.
Marcos… that’d be so cool
Then you could hack their register so it’d come up “paid” too

If this IS the Burgermaster in Kirkland off 520 (and I don’t know that there are any others around), I spent a few drunken high school nights ordering food here, and used to pass it every day on my way to work at the old Microsoft campus that straddled 520 (before they had their own fiefdom in Redmond). Thanks for bringing back some memories.
