Think I've driven past them on the way to the airport....but then again, I could be completely wrong. The thing is, there's a very distinct smell when you drive up in that direction (apparently it's the pulp from the aforementioned paper factory) and when I saw this picture, I immediately thought of it. So....that's just my line of thinking. Hope so anyway; I'd hate to think I conjured up that repugnant smell for nothing. This would be the view looking South/East if you were in the Sound, roughly even with the new Kingdome - towards the industrial area and some of the Boeing plants (of course I've not lived in the area for nearly 8 years now, so my memory could be failing me.) And since I've never been to Oakland (or at least not near the water) nor Charleston, I am most probably mistaken. Either way, it reminded me of Seattle and made me miss the Pike Peak Market. Right about now the farmers' stalls should be an absolute riot of colors - and all those dahlias! I do miss the dahlias by the bundle. True.
