So both Armstrongs are in da’ house. This should make for interesting blog entries that I will devour with glee.

As I’m reading the comments, I have this mental image of Scarface in Half Baked as he quit Heifer Burger —

“Fuck you, Fuck you, Fuck you, You’re Cool. And fuck you, I’m out.”

That’s all. I have nothing to say that noone else hasn’t already said. Although I do want to second the “whores” comment. It’s been since June, Jon. Come on. The media is FULL of whores. Pick one so we can gnosh on it.

Good luck and all that other stuff. Just try not to get hooked on watching the Price is Right. Mr. Paul spent a good deal of his recent unemployment stint dreaming of Plinko and prize packages. Needless to say, the house was never vacuumed until I got home.

One other thing…What are you going to do about health insurance??? You’ve got me worried a bit dear.

i wish you luck. it sounds like you made a fantastic choice based on what is best for you and your family. i think it’s easy to get stuck on the miserable work train because it’s what you ‘think’ you should be doing but it sounds like you had the balls and a supportive wife to help make a change right in time.

I hear ya on the migraine thing. I worked for a company where I was waking up with ragers at 3am 3 times a week. I actually talked to a lawyer, to see if, under the ADA, I could compel my company to make me work no more than 54 hours a week: 5 10-hour days and half of Saturday.

My doctor was more to the point. She recommended I just quit.

Good for you! NOTHING is as important as your health and happiness. I’m a big believer in quitting AS SOON as you feel like driving off a bridge on the way to work. I did so last spring, and I’ve never been poorer or happier.

Yea for you! My husband quit a job he hated and it was the best move he ever made. It took him a couple of years to wind up in a really incredible job (where he is now), but that journey was very valuable, and was a HELL of a lot better than what he had been in. You’ll be fine!
