I wrote a letter to Mr DeTwat a while back. This was while they were still ‘chewing’ on the idea of invading Iraq. My letter to Mr Twittwat was very well laid out; very clear reasons why this was NOT A GOOD IDEA. Even someone without a good grasp of foreign policy would ‘get’ my letter. It wasn’t full of sophistry – it was an appeal to common sense. Something of which he is sorely deficient.
His response was priceless. Pricelessly exposing his moronic stupidity. Absolutely lack of foresight. General inability to reason. And general lack of what is going on in the world outside the good ol’ U eS of Ay. And I thought politicians were supposed to be on top of these things – well travelled – reasonably well educated. DeTwat? A big resounding “NOT!”

Oh, how the self-righteous have fallen. I never fail to be amazed at the incredible hubris/stupidity of people like DePrick, people who believe that they are truly better and somehow not required to live by the same rules as the rest of us.
It has taken longer than I would have liked, but I am thoroughly enjoying this richly deserved humiliation. What a smug, smarmy son-of-a-bitch.
I couldn’t believe my ears when I woke up and heard the news this morning. I thought I might have still been in slumber land. He has some big gonads to still seek re-election. I can’t see him winning against one of the guy’s whose House seat he eliminated in 2004.
It’s so wonderful how all these assholes (Delaid, Dubya, Karl, Dick, Don, et al) are getting there comeuppance these days. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if this was “Armageddon” and it was the “righteous” that fall.
When I first heard about it, I thought he was resigning from the House completely. All he’s doing is stepping down as Majority Leader. That’s a fine thing, of course, but it’s not the end-all, praise Zoraster, he’s finally admitted he’s the Anti-Christ I was hoping for.
The Abramhoff/DeLay/Frist/Rove/Bush crap-fest is going to get worse for the Republicans before it gets better, I predict. Moderate Republicans are already running scared away from the President.
But sadly, as a determinedly defeatist Democrat, I’m sure we’ll find some way NOT to capitalize on all of this and screw it up and not take back the House or Senate.
Interestingly enough, the local news (I live just across the Potomac in Virginia) did a story this evening on how the Delay story is playing within and without the beltway. Their conclusion is that if you don’t live in or on top of DC, then you don’t pay attention to politics; they used the Delay story as their example.
These are the same people who assume that everyone LOVES the Redskins in this area. They could stand to do a little more research all around.
