Slides

March 6th, 2006

Imagine a darkened living room circa 1972 with the Kodak Carousel projector’s fan going full tilt. Then click the image below to see my Amsterdam shots in one fun slide show. Sure, you could do that on your own but now you don’t have to.

Amsterdam Slide Show

I’m counting the seconds until we get our babysitter back. Then I may have the energy to write more.

Great shots- thanks for sharing. I loved how rich and vibrant the wooden ceiling and white column was. All of the other architecture shots were cool, too.

You’re going to receive the same compliment over and over again, though it bears repeating. You take really good photographs. That’s all.

Again, same sentiment, great shots! I’m relatively close to switching back to the Nikon camp after shooting a 20D for the past year. The D200 has swayed me back into Nikon lust.

    Jon,

Have you ever been sitting at home watching tv and sipping a cocktail, trying as hard as you can to comprehend what you’re reading? That is me now after pouring myself a few very strong captain and cokes.

Wait a second. I just read it a third time. You want us to check out your slide show. So let me do that now. I’ll be back to finish in a minute.

Ah, there we go. Those are some great images. You have a talent. :) Congratulations.

I’m especially drawn in by the textures you capture, particularly in the architectural detail shots. Soothing.

Wow, Jon, excellent photographs! All the architecture there is very character driven and you’ve captured it beautifully. Though, I have to confess that the picture of those beautiful flowers is my favorite.

Thank you so much for sharing with us!

You guys are so amazing. The photos, the writing, the stuff you share with your readers. Wish I could shake both of your hands in Texas, but I live more than a few blocks away in Canada, eh. Maybe one day. Leta’s newsletter was beautiful as always, although the ending made me sad that you’re still getting hate mail for decisions about your life. I wonder who these people think they are. Oh wait, jealous.
Thank goodness for the delete button. I hope you both keep doing what you’re doing….you rock.

I can’t decide whether I’m upset with myself over this or pleased, but that first image of that gorgeous Amsterdamian work of art makes me think immediately of the movie “Labyrinth” starring Jennifer Connolly, David Bowie, and David Bowie’s package. Also, beautiful photos.

    Katai Says:

Oh, just to clarify, I meant the picture you have here on blurbomat to link to the slideshow, not that first image at the airport. That doesn’t remind me of Labyrinth. That would be silly.
