Looking Forward

January 2nd, 2007

070101_recap.jpg

The year just past was a joyous and difficult one. I’m looking forward to no sewer problems, no legal problems and taking a ton of great photos.

Even though a lot of great things happened last year, the bad stuff seems to stand out. I’m going to resist the urge to link to all the bad and instead focus on the good. I got to travel to Amsterdam, meet a bunch of people that I had read and admired for years at SxSW in Austin, travel to San Francisco for business (but managed to get a little relaxation in there), see Sigur Ros, get all cloggy, do an epic hike with old friends, travel to Calgary and travel to New York. I can’t complain. I got to meet a lot of amazing people and see a lot of great places.

I can’t thank you enough for stopping by and I’m hoping to turn it up in 2007 to make your time here more enjoyable. o

Thank you for the high standard already set here for blogging.
I’ve said it before, but it’s my favorite image of the BlurbDoocery:
It’s like sitting in our favorite back booth with (a couple thousand of) our friends. I just have to be careful not to snork beer out of my nose when you two are topping each other trying to tell a story.
    Happy New Year Armstrongs!

Hey, turn it up, I always say, more of a good thing is still a good thing. Unless you get shitfaced and puke on yourself. Then it isn’t. But you’re not serving alcohol, so I think we’re safe.

Here is to a kick ass 2007 for us all, Jon!! 2006 seemed to be a year of, well, let’s just say, transition. Good, bad and educational no matter how you (or I) look at it.
Thanks for doing what you do. You and Heather (Leta and Chuck too) are a welcome additon to my morning coffee time. Keep it coming in 2007!

I enjoy our morning meetings (morning here in Miami-Dade, anyway) and appreciate being thanked for stopping by. Don’t agree with all your stands on human, relations, so to speak, but respect your right (and style) of stating them. Thanks.
