Apple iPhone Mockup
January 9th, 2007The Apple iPhone (kottke.org)
Kottke builds a cardboard version of the Apple iPhone and compares it to other handheld devices and remotes. Great visual to see how big the phone will be. o

Just a note that Joe.My.God. (http://joemygod.blogspot.com/) has a great size comparison from http://www.sizeasy.com - you’ll have to scroll down a few posts. Sorry, I can’t make it permalink right now.

I heard the Cisco holds the patent on the iPhone name and is protesting……Apple should just replace the “i” with a picture of an eye. Think that would fly??
Hmmmmm, is Kottke trying to quit smoking? (Notice the rubber band on his wrist…..)

David Pogue at the NYT has written two articles about the new iPhone.

What do you think about the Apple phone in comparison to this:

[Ed. note: Please use tiny URL for those monster long URI/URLs. Thanks!]
It is the big 3-in-1 phone in China right now. It has a few features that the Apple phone doesn’t have, like a removable battery (all phone in China have this and I didn’t realize how good it was until I had it) and more importantly 3G, etc.
I mean, it isn’t quite as pretty, but you know.
