Can’t Win Them All
April 19th, 2007Boing Boing: Crocs banned in Swedish hospital for generating a “cloud of lightning”
I’m wearing mine in moderation these days. Must be careful with any footwear that is lightning wielding. Although I suppose a Croc-wearing superhero isn’t out of the question. o

I had no idea this things created lightning. This will only cause me to encourage even more wear of this brand of footwear in my household.
I want to see some of this shoe lightning!!

Yeah I read something last week about them shocking people, and I wondered if it was a one-off. Apparently not!! Do not operate machinery/touch Macs/walk around in your house with these things on. Ouch!

Okay … are Crocs as comfy as everyone says they are? I only buy shoes about once a decade, and even then I find the $10-on-sale Reebok’s that are about five years out of style.
Spending $40 on what are quite possibly the ugliest pair of footwear in the history of mankind just doesn’t compute … but are they worth it?

seriously? a croc-wearing super hero could be the next big thing.
i firmly believe that the whole world’s obsession with crocs can be dated back to you. knock off crocs are EVERYWHERE. even in truck stop stores.

This explains why I always get a freakin shock everytime I get out of the freakin car when I wear my Crocs (which I wear a lot). And I thought it was my magnetic personality!

Lightning or not, I am wearing these fugly shoes!
I have had hatred in my little heart for Crocs ever since I saw my first pair. That is until I started a new job that forced me to be on my feet for 10 hours a day. After purchasing $150 New Balance shoes, several different insoles, and PRAYING for the pain to go away, I finally broke down and bought a pair of Crocs. And Holy cloudlike cushioning! I can stand all day, without a wince of pain. If this means I have to shock some people with my lightning feet, so be it!
Sold.
