    Holy comment spam Batman!

BTW, puppies > babies for time destruction as they grow out of it faster!

He must have grown two inches since those Christmas pictures.

What a face. I wouldn’t be able to get any work done either. How old is she?

    Laura Says:

But that little face! so worth it! makes me want to get a puppy I can’t afford.

Darned cute. Makes me want to have a puppy though I KNOW it would be horrible work in addition to the 4 animals already in my house….not to mention children.

Oh, you can work any ol’ time– puppyhood flies by so quickly, and I don’t think you should miss out on even a single romp or snuggle.

Oh man, she looks so soft and snuggly! At least you guys work from home (right? sorry if I’m off on that), the reason I won’t get a new puppy is because I think I’d die the first day I’d have to leave it to go to work (yeah, I’m gonna do well with a baby, I can just tell) :)

Wow what a face!! if I could reach into the computer to hug that puppy I would - I already have three beautiful faces like that of my own but none are puppy cute! I swear if you could bottle the power of puppy cuteness the quest for world domination would be far easier.

    Jen Says:

please tell me this adorable puppy was adopted from a rescue organization/humane society!!!

Total adorable-ness. Good thing puppies sleep a lot, huh?

    Jen Says:

She’s just too cute! I don’t think I would ever be able to say no to her. “You want to chew up every possession I own? Go ahead!” Ridiculously cute!

I second what jen said: I hope Coco is from a rescue of some sort. It would be awesome of you and dooce to promote rescuing dogs instead of buying from breeders who are only making the out-of-control pet overpopulation problem worse. There are currently 3,105 Aussies in need of homes on petfinder.com

I am in love with this pup’s single expression that seems to be sort of deer-caught-in-headlights (does she blink?) and very very cute at the same time. I’d be cuddling this one 24/7 and never getting any work done. Hope Chuck’s showing her the ropes!

    Awwww…she is SO sweet looking!

Jon .. you’re an awesome hubby to give in a get her for Heather .. seriously awesome. Can I give you my husband phone number? :)

btw .. how is Leta?? Ask Heather to write a post on her, I MISS her :)

Blurb, your new pup looks like a good candidate for The Daily Puppy http://dailypuppy.com/

I find it interesting that all your readers hope that you and heather are the ‘perfect’ people. Seriously, what would happen if you actually bought the new dog from a pet store? Would the world end?
I’m all about humane societies…I’m just saying…you and heather can do what you want…

    blurb Says:

We actually paid a puppy farm to breed 7,500 dogs. We then selected the best and told them to kill the rest.

COME ON, PEOPLE. I’m not going to preach to you about dogs, dog adoption or dog rescue. Do the right thing.

Have we learned nothing from Ellen?

I am going to talk a lot about how cute the puppy is and how much it’s disrupting our lives (in a good way) and how having the puppy around has increased the face time we’ve been getting from our first dog.

We are far from perfect. Chuck was a rescue all the way. This one happened a little differently, but we certainly didn’t buy Coco from a pet store.

I love her little wristband. She is too flippin’ cute.

    V. Says:

She’s beautiful, such a sweet face! (And just wait - this puppy’s going to be an advice magnet. People just can’t seem to help themselves.)

    lisa Says:

That’s one sweet puppy. Will you be fitting her into Heather’s blog header?

    Fiona Says:

Gorgeous - we are bringing our own Aussie, Ozzie, home next week. Our baby was found chained to a tree at just 9 weeks old. They are a beautiful and intelligent breed and we can’t wait for our newest addition to arrive.

    Irishembi Says:

Coco is adorable. Perfect counterpoint for the austere Sir Chuckles. Great gift Jon! You are sooooo gettin’ laid!

  24. 24
    Deva Says:

She is adorable! I just turned to my boyfriend and said (backstory: we have two cats. our apartment complex will allow a max of two animals) “let’s buy a house so we can get a puppy dog!”

    Shalini Says:

such a cute pup! I miss the puppy days, but don’t miss the inevitable destruction.

Coco is so cute! did I say that already! You guys have great looking dogs!
