February 4th, 2008Updated the header area to be a little more functional and blurbomatesque.
I had planned on getting to this before the world ended. Alas.

Love the new header…in ie. Firefox is not liking it (FYI).
Maybe it is supposed to be alot of black, but black on my firefox is really black…
I am very glad that Chuck is alive and well and balancing grapes on his goofy little noggin.

It looks fine in my Firefox, on my Mac.
Is it that I use firefox and it is “really black” that the new design is INCREDIBLY HARD FOR ME TO READ. At least up the font size, please. And what is with all the black? Is this a new cool that I’ve missed?

Gotta say I love your us of the word “blurbomatesque”. Inventing words is always neat, even more so when you get to do it at the start of the week.

What is up with the Internet???? How could anyone come up with “Chuck is dead” from the new Dooce header??? Geez. It’s like deducing Paul is dead from the Abbey Road album cover.

I think it’s the “2008″ part of the header on dooce that is confusing people. If someone is still alive you should put “2001-”. The 2008 indicates the end of their life. Eg. Heath Ledger 1979 - 2008.
Lisa - you’re right about black being green. At least according to ‘Blackle’, the black google. Totally cracks me up. (but not as much as Gizzoogle, fo sho, beeatch)
yay for clickable logo! I’m using Firefox and it’s beautiful. The small isn’t a big deal to me, I just Ctrl-+ and all is good.
I’m also digging the black on gray bloops in the header. Nice job.
YAY, the petals are back!
I already love the redesign, so that is just icing for me.
