Feeder Pipe
February 22nd, 2008Taken summer, 2007, near Duchesne, Utah.
This is a major crop of a much larger image. Not too bad, but this is about the limit of cropping, even with a full sensor camera shooting RAW at 12 megapixels. We aren’t going to mention how badly I want the next generation of digital SLR that isn’t even out yet. Or hasn’t even been invented. o

i’m not even asking for that much. i just want a full frame DSLR that shoots five frames per second for 20 shots, and has a big three inch view screen and a sensor cleaner. all these exist, but not all of them in one canon package.
come on canon! update that 5d!

An updated 5D would be awesome BUT there’s a very selfish part of me that doesn’t want an upgrade for a very long time. Unless I win the lottery or come into a surprise inheritance, of course. The Canon 40D has the nice big screen and sensor cleaner but the lack of full-frame does make it hard to use.

This looks so cool. And really really good for a crop, perhaps there is something to be said for my getting a new camera.

Thank you for sharing this series! Love your images. We were out near Duchesne last fall & I had a great time just looking at all the rusted machinery. I did not have a camera with me at the time, but I did talk my husband into bringing a rusty spring thingy home. It is buried under a ton of snow right now, but when it melts I am going to try to get a few pics.

Yours and Heather’s photos are the visual [Intertoobz] highlight of my day. Most usually take my breath away.

I agree with Dawn, the Canon 40D is on my wishlist but It would be great to have it with the full frame feature. I really like your pics, can I ask if you use any filters?
Best regards

I love, love this shot.
But I can’t help but seeing Jabba the Hut Barfing on a pipe! (Well, a slimmer Jabba, anyway).
I always enjoy your photos, but have finally found the inspiration to comment!
Keep up the good stuff!
