I love that Once won for original song. You and Heather should see that film just for the music. How charming that Jon Stewart brought Marketa out to give her thanks.

3 out of 7 is horrible.

I was deeply affected by There Will Be Blood. I liked No Country for Old Men, but it just didn't get inside me.

Falling Slowly won best song, despite the nomination of THREE songs from Enchanted. Enchanted is a cute movie and all, but it didn't even come close to Once musically. It made me smile. And Jon Stewart dragged out Marketa Irglova to give her part of the speech when she actually listened to the walk off music and wasn't given her chance to speak. And she did a beautiful little speech.

And Tilda Swinton totally cracked me up.

DDL getting best actor always makes sense to me. He's always great no matter who's film he's in. I think that "There Will Be Blood" hadn't been around long enough to convince everyone yet so it didn't get its due. At least Daniel did.

I thought we were about to see an upset to Cuba Gooding Jr's all time greatest speech when Tildin Swinton started talking about Clooney's nipples. I was in the floor dying that she even went there.

There Will Be Blood is mindblowing and may I just say that D. Day Lewis is amazingly young looking for someone who is 50. I'm thinking best score might go to Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood. He nailed it.

Haven't seen No Country...yet and am looking forward to it. Although it's gotten mixed reviews and only a two-star rating by viewers in Vancouver, I can't imagine a collaboration between the Coen Bros. and Cormac McCarthy resulting in anything but magnificence.

Ahhhhhh. Hell.

I hope that Paul Thomas Anderson keeps making movies. I'm feeling like he's the new Martin Scorcese. At least Once won for best song.

I've only seen "There Will Be Blood" and "No Country For Old Men" and "Michael Clayton". I'm just guessing on the others. If we didn't live close to family, I wouldn't have seen those two.

I'm offline for the next few hours so I don't get tempted to peek. Happy Academy Awards, people.
