dooce® Twitter Update

April 1st, 2008

Just added her latest tweets to her sidebar. Empty your cache and do a shift-refresh. Comment with any problems. I don’t want to hear design critiques, but technical issues. Save the design comments for masterclass next Friday.

I used a Javascript I found here. Thanks for sharing, Ralph!

Pretty sweet and with Drupal’s blocks, didn’t take much time at all to put it where she wanted. Yes, I know, that’s what she said. o

nice little plug in that I didn’t have to mess with at all.

You and Heather have me ADDICTED to Twitter. It’s the best thing since…coffee? Screw-top wine?

  3. Alice says:

I love you, Jon. That’s all.

    Hi Jon.

Long time reader, first time poster.

Only design comment would be that the time stamp text size is pretty small – viewed using Firefox 2.0.0.13 on a MBP.

    CSS quickfix?

  5. Jeanette says:

Great feature! Technical issue: The small, orange text saying when she posted is completely minute and illegible using my browser (Firefox 2.0.0.4)
Also, might you provide a link in there to her twitter page? Hoping the latter isn’t an unwanted “design critique”…if so, send me to the back of the class!

  6. Amy says:

Works for me! I’m going to have to try this Twitter malarkey!

  7. Andria says:

Argh… I am now gonna be addicted to Twitter.

Dude, I totally would but I’m too busy watching Cinemax porn in Slingbox right now. Please don’t publish my IP address.

  9. Totally not your wife. says:

Okay, they went back to the plot. Looks great!

  10. Lesley says:

Jon, put down the motor oil and get yourself some Rogue’s Dead Guy Ale. It’s much more appetizing and will make all those dog problems fade away.

  11. T says:

I see a lot of people making their MY RECENT TWEETS text/image clickable and it going straight to their twitter page. Just a thought.

  12. Danielle says:

The last four times I’ve visited dooce.com, my firefox browser shut down immediately… I’m using v 2.0.0.6 on a MacBook Pro.

  13. Hey cool. I am glad you found my JSON/jQuery Twitter code useful. Thanks!

    Ralph
