How about the dog wrangling? Huh? Huh?

Noticed the dog wrangling first thing! Great job!

First thing i thought was “WOW, those dogs have been photo-shopped in that picture!” It was a good article and the photo was the best. Just a guess…..but YOU took the photo? LOL. Have a great week and keep up the great writing and photos.

I have to give props when due. Very nice picture hanging Jon! The prints hanging on the wall behind Heather look lovely and very straight. Being married to an OCD Creative Director myself I fully understand the marital strain that is caused by hanging perfectly straight pictures. Major props dude!!

Love the picture! I’m so glad that you said who owns the newspaper, because after checked out Heather’s article, I started poking around and was a little freaked out. Some of the comments re: the Texas raid were freaky.

Jon, you are a dog wrangler par excellence! No way those dogs would have stayed still for the photo had you not been there to wrangle. Props to the Blurb!

Y’all have sort of an amazing existence. Do you wake up daily and think, “Wow! Who would have thought?”

Thank goodness you got that wall done…LOOKs fab by the way! Congrats to you and Heather both. What a great team, keep up the good work, we need you! (great dog wrangling too)

@MJ, I just wrangled the dogs. The photo was taken by Scott G. Winterton.
@Beth, thanks!
@Mary Moon, every day!
Thanks dooce readers! Y’all are lovely!

Yesterday morning it was quite a shock to look at the Dooce web site and see an advertisement for the LDS church - and a relief to come back in a few hours to see it gone.
What happened?

@Chloe, some of the ads that run are from remnant advertisers who buy large chunks of ad impressions across the internet. Neither they nor us have control over when and where they show up. So ads from a diverse set of marketers can be up and then not be seen again for some time or ever. Just depends on the ad servers, which are automated.

I read the article in the WSJ, this article seems to be word for word?
April 15th, 2008 at 10:48 am
Way to overcome the powers that be by infiltrating their paper. Nice.

Re: ads, I’ve noticed sometimes that when blogs accept Google ads it backfires.
Blogger rants about something. Google serves up ads pimping that very thing.
Somebody needs to have their algorithms adjusted.

PS, that is an awesome photo. Too bad Bo wasn’t there at the time — he looks like such a sweetie, and a group shot of the three of them looks like one dog morphing into another, from Coco to Chuck.

Great shot. But, aren’t some of those pictures hanging sideways?
April 15th, 2008 at 11:51 am
@blurb, please know that we’re not just here because of dooce. We love your site and appreciate your charm, wit, and geekiness. I think I speak for many when I say that I totally understand why Heather loves you so much. You’re a keeper!

You guys should open up a dog training business, you know, with all that free time you’ve got. But seriously, well done!!
So did the guy from the paper come by just to take the photo….no interview?

I love how they mentioned her language, what, four times?

I didnt notice the pic first time around then read comments and went to look at pic. The mirrors really look like cool windows looking into another room.

Thanks for posting! I love both your sites & read regularly.

Glad to hear you do so well with the blogging. I love her site and yours

Interesting that the Trib didn’t pick this up but they did. Since I refuse to read that other paper, I simply had to read it online at the WSJ. Which I did and enjoyed.

I love how they keep having to tell everyone Dooce rhymes with Moose. How hard is that?
And, wow, the dogs look positively behaved…and I see Heather sat still for the photo too….Good girl…sit…stay….
