She's growing up to be a beauty. Fully amped or passed out is exactly how to describe our aussie. Pixel goes from bouncing off the walls to sound asleep all the time. I also think he's figured out the secret to teleportation as he can get from one end of the dog park to the other in the blink of an eye.

Someone mentioned the furminator - regarding the Chuck photo on Dooce...I second that tool!!!

I have a Karelian Bear Dog - Northern Breed, heavy double coat and he "blows" the undercoat Spring and Fall but Spring is truly a major hair fallout. The furminator and a shedding comb really did the trick. Usually it is a May to August twice daily brushing marathon. He started early this year - we were in Florida until a month ago - and the worst seems to be over.

She looks almost a little Afghan Hound in the pic, lovely noble nose as Sarah said above. Although we don't want her getting a Barbra Streisand bignose complex. My sister once said to my Mum that she looked like Barbra Streisand and my Mum started crying.

Yes, how about those nails! It looks like Coco has a French manicure going.

You're a brave man for getting eye level with a dog glued to a chew toy. The last time I did this with a dog, I found myself at the end of a warning growl.
