Wood With a Thread
April 30th, 2008I’m getting giddy and beside myself with the thought of taking loads of photos and tweaking them as the weather improves. This was taken on a relatively beautiful day last week. I may suffer from SAD. But now I’m all GLAD. Or GLAAD.
I’ll be posting a workflow tutorial in the coming days. Currently, I’m digging on Apeture 2 quite a lot. Lightroom has not fallen into disuse, but I’m digging on the export presets and speed of said exports. o

It’s already in the 80s here in Northern California, and on a few days has crawled up into the 90s. Many of us aren’t ready for that type of heat yet. Personally, I hate it. Give me an overcast day, or even a cold day.
But the opps for photos are definitely there!

An Aperture tutorial would be most welcome!
I just bought it recently and have not had a chance to play much with it.

Really nice….but I had to look hard for the spider thread….sort of like Where’s Waldo. And I just got new glasses too.
As usual, excellent. Watch out for that Spring Giddy. It can be overwhelming sometimes.

I see the thread. It’s holding up that stick.

Lovely, I’m dying for nicer weather to come back here! It was 20 degree the other day and now it’s 8. Yuck.
Come back summer… I was fine with skipping Spring this year!

I LOVE Lightroom (And your photo!) From what I understand, Apeture is better, but built for Mac. And I’m stuck with stupid VISTA.
I’d love to see the tutorial, though, as I am sure I can apply it to Lightroom? Maybe?
If not, I love photography posts, regardless of the topic.

I’m muddling through Aperture too. Curious to hear a little more about the export presets. I’m still leaning very heavily on Photoshop for layers, etc.

Looking forward to the Aperture tutorial. I’ve been thinking about picking it up and I’d love to see some first-hand usage of the program.

Gorgeous shot.
And I totally have SAD. Even here in sunny Colorado. Imagine was a sad sack I was when I live in Maryland???
