On the other hand, Heather did a great job. It’s too bad they don’t want to have a real conversation about anything on the TV. Probably a post about the Mainstream Media in there somewhere.
But I’m going to hit the streets of the big city and take photos. o

How could they even put Kathie Lee and Heather in the same room? Kathie sounded so freaking ignorant. I mean seriously ‘I don’t even owwwwnnnnn a computer’ Well then why are you interviewing someone that makes a living off of one?

Am I the only one who felt like Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford came across like they were the inspiration for that Bronx Beat skit on SNL with Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler?

The only bad thing about that interview? KATHY LEE! If I ever have to watch her again it will be too soon. Uck. She cut Heather off and “led”‘ her into an ending that she tried to make negative. Fortunately, Heather did great and seemed ready for her. Obviously Kathy didn’t “get it” at all. What Heather is doing, the impact she’s made - Kathy seemed jealous to be honest. I guess her blogging wasn’t as successful. And, for her to mention putting Leta at risk when Kathy Lee has built an entire career off talking about her kids.
Anyway, Heather made the best out of the situation. Wish she could have mentioned the book!
Has Heather thought about doing shows around Father’s Day to promote the book?

I just watched the clip (love the DVR) and Kahtie Lee if an idiot! There was so much more to say about the topic and they never gave her a chance to talk. I hate the TODAY show - I’m never watching again! okay, maybe I’ll sneak a peek at Matt Lauer periodically - but that IS IT !!

OMG. KLG left such a sour taste in my mouth… wish I could have been there to PUNCH the bitch. I stared at the t.v. in disbelief after the interview was over. HOORAY for Heather — she looked beautiful and was very articulate (not to mention had great self-restraint!).
Seriously, what the hell where they thinking putting that bitch there if she was not gonna be “OPEN” about it and try to judge Heather…. ARRRRGGHHH! I feel frustrated for your wife.

Kathie Lee is stupids, the queen of talking about her kids back in the day. Nothing different than what Heather is doing, what a waste of a good interview subject all she did was talk about her feelings.

I hated everything about that interview, with the exception that they happened to be interviewing one of my favorite writers in the world. Was uninformed, condescending, and hypocritical. And I must admit I got super defensive when Kathie Lee blurted out (paraphrasing), “But the site was lucrative, so didn’t your husband quit his job to run things?” Anyone who was reading either of your blogs at that time, knows that isn’t even close to story.
Not to mention that the subtext of that statement implies that all you do is applaud in the background while Heather types a few sentences, takes a couple of pictures, and the money rolls in.
I’m beginning to wonder if anyone on TV has actually visited the internet beyond the MSN homepage. Because every story they do about the internet seems like it was written in 1999, full of danger and mystery, and computerinternettech people. Is their target audience only people born before World War II?

Holy mole, I saw a clip on Jezebel.com and poor Heather looked like she was being interviewed by a couple of bitter, aging sorority girls. Heather makes them look completely irrelevant and ignorant.
The contrast between Heather (well-mannered, stylish and brilliant) and KLG (rude, leathery and insecure) was most entertaining.
Heather rocks. I had no idea she has a southern accent! Now I will read her with the appropriate inflection.

and KLG is a moron… she did tell everyone about her kids when she was on regis…

Yep, ditto on the Kathie Lee thing. She was so completely ignorant. She reminds me of so many moms that don’t let their kids near the “evil” computer.
