I love the perspective you gave on this shot. Never again will I look at straw in the same way.

I would never have thought that, but it’s undeniable. There are the straw men, arguing away!

i love when a picture can tell a story. great tones in this shot.

This is not about the picture but I can’t seem to find a contact email so you are getting it here
1) I bought the furminator after I saw it on your website and love it! Thanks for sharing that tip.
2) I didn’t see Heather on the Today show unfortunately. I think the local news trumped her segment. I was bummed. Will it be online anywhere?
3) You and your wife have inspired me to get a nice camera and start looking at the world in a whole new way. I thank you guys so much for that.
4) I read your piece in Heather’s book the other night and it made me cry. You should write more. You are very good at it.
Ok, that’s it. Carry on

I LOVE this photo. The title is what brings it home. Have you started selling any of your photos yet?
Thanks,
Emily

Go online to the today show website. I just searched “Heather Armstrong Today Show” and got a link to a video of her interview on the site.

I should say I searched on Google first.

The Today Show segment can be seen at:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/24502785#24502785
I thought Kathie Lee was condescending and unfair, and I e-mailed the Today Show to tell them so — and to tell them that Kathie Lee should apologize to Heather. If you agree and would like to do so, too, the e-mail address is: today@msnbc.com.
Nobody puts Dooce in a corner!

I thought Kathi Lee acted unprepared and her retarded comments and input did a fine job on making her look real bad. You could see the OMG look on Heather’s face when Kathi Lee said stupid things. Heather acted with class despite Kathi Lee. Would have loved to hear what Heather was thinking through all of that.
Replace Kathi Lee with Straw Arguing Men!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the link Leesavee. That spot was charming. Heather, I mean…KL is just a douche. (doesn’t really rhyme with dooce.)

Kathie Lee Gifford looks like an recently discovered ancient mummy in HD anyway.
May 8th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
I just used the email link and told the Today Show how completely ignorant I thought Kathie Lee was. Thanks Leesavee! Had any of the interviewers read her blog they would’ve had intelligent questions to ask, but apparently KL is too afraid of the evil internets to venture there.

The straw photo is wonderful, and is just as it is titled.
Heather was wonderful. Her interviewers had room temperature IQs.

You know what Jon? I hated that damn logic (PHILOSOPHY!) class in college, and at age 39, I just finished the sonofabitch last semester! When I saw the title of that pic, I just about pissed my pants laughing. I cannot tell you how many times I heard my professor’s bizarre voice (think of Jim Varney’s “Ernest” character’s voice) saying “The Straw Man Argument…, The Straw Man Argument…” over and over in my head while I would be falling asleep after studying … and being jolted awake, and in a cold sweat… This page is being forwarded to the Philosophy dept. at SIUE - I know they will crack up!

CindyMomOf4,
Small world, I spent my first two years of philosophy study at SIUE. I rarely meet folks who know it. I’ll always have a soft spot for Edwardsville.
