I didn’t get tickets. I am starting to be totally glad I didn’t, either. Sigh…maybe next year.

I’m so glad I was drunk by the end of this game.

Jon, this has absolutely nothing to do with this photo (although - holy crap, nice). I think someone’s using Chuck’s photo to sell shock collars on eBay.
Here’s the website, if you want to check it out (although the auction’s up in six hours or something like that):

Bleh I bet I just broke your comments.

And I realize that if that *isn’t* Chuck (I’m a bad dog recognizer, perhaps), that I’ve opened myself up to all kindsa ridicule.

Nice photos…great seat…but, go Lakers! As a Fisher fan from way, way back I hate the booing. It’s not as if the guy left for more money or that his ego was involved in the move. His kid was sick. Utah let him out of his contract. I’d be interested to know a Utah fan’s version but from this side I just don’t get the hostility.

Terri, I read in the paper he needed to go BACK EAST to take care of his child’s illness. No concern from myself or any other Jazz fan I know - until “ta-da!” he ended up back in LA. I think we all felt a bit hosed - and I at least never saw why LA was easier than Utah for his child’s health.
Hope that helped a bit. We all want Fish’s child to be healthy. We just were hoping it wasn’t an excuse to go back to LA (and, to be fair, maybe it wasn’t, it just ended up feeling that way due to the coverage I saw, anyway).

I don’t think that’s Chuck on eBay–look at the white patch on the eBay dog’s neck. Sure looks like him though.

@Terri,
It’s pretty much common knowledge now that Fisher was talking to the Lakers before his release from his Jazz contract. I’m really sorry that his daughter is sick and all, but it feels mighty opportunist to me…unscrupulous really.
The sad part for Jazz fans is that by picking up Fisher, the Lakers then postured themselves into getting Gasol as their former point guard became trade bait.
So as it is read in Utah, the Jazz’ owners’ good nature and being lied to eventually got our team knocked out of the playoffs. Hey Lake Show: glad we could help you out.
And how about that game in March where Bryant got his panties in a bunch about the Fisher booing? Just gotta love how HE became the moral police. Pathetic.

Didn’t Utah sign Carlos Boozer after he screwed Cleveland? They could have kept him on a bargain contract, but agreed to a raise and “released” him to implement that agreement. Whereupon he went to the market, got an offer from the Jazz that Cleveland couldn’t match (b/c of the salary cap), and strolled.
He’s a sketchy guy, and not the sort to put much ahead of himself. I think theres a cap on what he can accomplish as a leader. The Jazz didn’t lie to anyone, but they should have avoided him,
Anyway, I think the Celtics should be able to (ultimately) handle any remaining Laker issues, if we can get Doc Rivers to stop using a Magic 8-Ball to decide substitutions.

Oh Jazz. I couldn’t watch the game. It was too heartbreaking and the reffing was awful - or so I deduced from my husband yelling at the television from the other room. I hate the Lakers more than any other team in the NBA so for the Jazz to lose to them, at home, oh the agony. I can only hope New Orleans beats the hated Spurs and then goes on to crush LA - a girl can dream.

Carlos Boozer is a nice guy.
