Thank you for your amazing photos. I had to make this one the wallpaper on my desktop - it's so beautiful. I used to work in the city and had a spectacular view of the chrysler building from my desk - and I miss it so much. Thanks for giving it back to me!

I believe that unusual shade of blue is called toxic. New York is good at false first impressions, one of them being the color of the sky. Looks pretty and safe from the ground, until you leave the city and realize, "Wait, the whole world doesn't smell like Ham Fried Rice?"
With that said, I miss that Goddamn place. The spires of Temple Square will never be a suitable replacement.

There is so much that is right with this photograph, but most of all the thought that went into it.

The Chrysler Building at dusk just as it turns on its lights is pretty cool. You've gotta zoom in to catch even more detail. Those eagles protruding from the corners thirty-something stories up, for instance.

It's one of my favorite buildings in the city.

The photo seems almost split-screen. The left half looks faded - the building blends into the sky - while the right half (including the traffic light) looks new, superimposed. I like it.

my favorite building in the whole world is grand central station. i can't tell you how stoked i am everytime i get off the train from westchester and walk out from the dark tunnel into that place.

it's like the main junction of opportunity and action. so much energy. it's like a primer for what awaits out those doors.

since leaving that big tech company in ny for a big tech company in tx, i don't get to visit the city as often as i would like. as it stands, i haven't been back since 04.

this must be fixed. and soon.

Love the combo of the green arrow with the spire. Very cool. And really, the Chrysler Building truly is one of the most amazing-looking buildings around.

Jon, you're such a talented photographer...I love this perspective here.
The blue hues, with the green arrow. The black and white sign, the scale of the building right behind it. Plus the red brick on the left side. It's just really fuc*ing cool. Nice job.
