It is reminiscent of Amsterdam. Probably for all of the above reasons. Excellent shot. I have a thing for taking photos of signs, as well.

@filmgoerjuan, I agree in order. But sometimes, when outdoors, one can lounge and then grill and then lounge AGAIN. I believe such a place would be called "lounge & grill & chill" or just "lounge & grill & lounge again but maybe with the top of your pants open just a little". Something like that. Still working on the concept with my team.

seriously, isn't vancouver pretty much the best place ever?

i fell in love with the city on my first visit in 99. until a couple years ago, i made annual trips back since then.

i even looked very seriously at a two story, two BR/two BA loft in an old warehouse in yaletown complete with a private roof deck. i was seeing a girl up in bc, and this remains the coolest house i ever thought of buying. it suited me perfectly. the exchange rate was super positive and i could have picked it up for about 400K US.

turns out that the girl was bad news, but that condo is now worth a cool million, easy.

there is world class climbing, biking, boarding and kayaking all within minutes of the city, the people are fantastic, the food is good, the views, incredible. i consider vancouver to be one of the three or four best located cities i've ever seen (sydney, rio, and sf also making the cut).

if it weren't for the fact that i have spent 2/3 of my life in the southwest with 300 days of sunshine a year, i would already have emigrated to bc. no doubt in my mind.

Or, you know, it could have been the hash brownies you'd just eaten ;)

Personally I prefer to grill and then lounge. Lounging and then grilling has resulted in too many grease fires on my La-Z-Boy.
