Hot Fun in the Summertime
August 5th, 2008I’m not sure why shots like this always remind me of childhood. Sure, I’ve tried to evoke a mood and all, but there is something about sprinklers that takes me back.
The sprinkler is spraying the tree and tons of drops are falling, even as the sprinkler rotates away from the tree.
I’m holding on to these shots. We’ve got one more month, month and a half before the dark times. o

Gorgeous shot, Jon. Instant nostalgia.

Beautiful photo…sure wish we could turn on the sprinklers in our part of the country. Then maybe my grass wouldn’t be brown from the scorching heat. Sadly, we must conserve so that we may still BATHE! Priorities, ya know?

WOW. This shot is phenomenal. I hate to use the “s” word, but it looks a little bit like snow falling…

I can smell the freshly cut grass, I can hear the sprinkler rotating, and the sound of locusts singing. Happy Summer.

This is so gorgeous. Totally reminds me of summer, too. Remember those wimpy little sprinklers that go from side to side? Nothing as cool as this shot, but that’s what I remember. Oh, and wanting a slip n slide so badly I could taste it, and then finally being on one and thinking ‘crap! this HURTS!’
Ah, memories.
I had to comment to let you know that you are absolutley CRACKING ME UP on twitter. I would love to be as cool as your wife, but with my size twelves (yeah, in men’s size… just call me Bozo), BIRKENSTOCKS RULE. I don’t do clogs, but only because my huge man feet get sweaty, too.
I’m so sexy.

Great shot! makes me want to run right through it.
Love the warm light and the grainy texture created by the drops of water.
