Arboretum Canopy
September 25th, 2008I love the layers of leaves and dark trunks poking through. I bet in about 6-8 weeks, these trees are stunning with autumnal colors.
The density of the growth here is something I don’t see enough of in my normal, computer nerd life. I need to get out more. o

Great shot. We’ve been in a drought, so it’s usually even more lush around here. I’ve found hiking here to be so different from out west, where you are always rewarded with stunning views. Here the beauty is in the details - bark, moss, salamanders, etc. Love that you are capturing this in your photos.
