Curvatures
September 30th, 2008Really love the curved brick with curved monolithic concrete architecture behind it. Taken on the UTK campus. I’ll be posting Tennessee shots for the next while. I’m really happy with these and this proves that the Canon G9 can perform for conditions that I like. Sure, I wished it went a little wider, but I’m sold on the little guy. o

i like mine, but i’m not happy with the speed and grain. i need to continue to experiment. i’m surprised i’m seeing so much grain in the images. i suspect i need to keep the ISO off auto.
It looks like a modern Byzantine bastion to me.
So, I finally got around to registering so that I could leave a comment
I’m from Knoxville and graduated from UT. It’s great to see photos of things I used to walk past everyday. I’m glad you enjoyed it here as much as I do!
@themightyjimbo, I always manually set it. I’ve been blown away by what this little camera can do. The next dozen or so shots I’ll be posting will hopefully show off a little more of the RAW benefits.
If you like curved brick check out Gamage Auditorium at Arizona State University its pretty much SOLID curved brick.

Best photo I could find. Its a Frank Lloyd Wright building.
Have you seen the serpentine brick walls on the UVA campus in Charlottesville? They’re lovely…
I love this photo. Love it.
