I’m Late on This One
October 9th, 2008This is a great website:
Name anything the McCain/Palin campaign has tried to throw out there and on this site is a rebuttal. Sweet. o

I love that site.

Good to know…
This election is getting nastier by the day - McCain is just an angry man. Just hope Barack doesn’t lose this election because he refuses to play nasty.
That would say something VERY bad about our country. Sigh.

Great site; thanks for sharing. Just today, someone at my husband’s work was calling Obama a “terrorist Muslim.” I don’t know how many times I’ve had to tell people that 1) he’s Christian and 2) not all Muslims are terrorists, anyway. People should be afraid of Palin, not him. I did have a good conversation with a man at a hockey game last night that called Obama “the most intelligent man I’ve ever met,” though. It’s always a relief to hear a voice of reason.

I am ashamed to say I lived in this town.
Here’s a video link to a group of McCain/Palin supports outside of a speech in Strongsville, OH. The ignorance is astounding. Jaw-dropping, smack yourself in the face, oh-my-god, BAD.

Hope the link works, I’m not sure if there’s a particular html tag I should use or if just copy/paste works here.

Hi Jon, I love your website. This election is crazy. I’ve never gotten into a heated political debate before but just today I’ve gone back n forth between my McCain supporting friend over email so much that it’s sad, I doubt we’ll remain friends after this! This is a direct quote from one of her emails:
“Obama WILL tax us more than his campaign says, to pay for all kinds of things he thinks the government needs to “take care of”, usually to help people whoWON’T - not CAN’T - help themselves”
How can I remain friends with someone who feels that way!!

Thank you, this will come in handy. I am feeling a little harassed on my blog from some McCain supporter who keeps whining at me. It is very time consuming to track all this stuff down!

The woman who slanders Obama “pre-empts state report, clears self in probe.” As Balloon Juice said, this isn’t an Onion story, it’s real.

I’m too shy to normally leave posts, but I do read yours and Dooce’s blogs regularly
at any rate, not sure if you’ve seen this yet, but thought I’d send it along anyway. I have been enjoying all of your “rants” on Palin lately. I couldn’t agree more!

(before we found out we were having a boy last year, my husband Jon and I actually were thinking of naming our new baby Delilah, after this song!)

I live in Arizona now, after living in California for every day of my 23 year existence.
I work for a big land development company. It’s safe to say these people are all staunch Republicans- as far as their wallets are concerned, anyway.
I open the mail for the three partners, and once, twice, almost three times a week, they all get mail from the McCain/Palin campaign asking them to donate more. I alwyas get the urge to shred them, but I don’t want to get fired so I have to send them up the line. And then, I just go to youtube and watch this:
…. and then I feel better. Lame celebrity endorsements aside, it’s a pretty moving speech/song.

How sad of a statement is it on the state of race relations in this country when that site needs a search function? America the Beautiful indeed.
