My marvelous image

Coco Smiles

January 6th, 2009

Because she’s a relatively happy dog. When there is snow and running.

As I’ve been undertaking a massive photo organization project the past few weeks, I’ve looked over the shots where she was new at our house and super fuzzy and soft.

We don’t always see eye-to-eye or even foot-to-foot, but she’s a damn fine dog and it’s been quite an adjustment to work with an actual dog. Chuck is not a dog. He’s a cat who did something bad in a past life and was tortured in this life by being put into a dog body. Coco provides spectrum. Spectrum can be infuriating. And fun. o

  1. you really freak me out sometimes. I totally have been organizing photos over the past few weeks – clearing out a bunch of crap from 2007 and posting some of my faves on Flickr.

    P.S. love this shot.

Can’t help looking at that cute little pink tongue, and thinking …. “Poop-eater!” Ewwwww!

And re Heather’s daily pic …. She’s right, you do look good with a beard ;-)

This looks like Coco’s senior picture.

I ADORE Coco. She makes me want an Aussie, despite the stories you guys tell about her. :P

Don’t you wish they could stay in the super fuzzy and soft phase sometimes, though?

Coco looks adorable with the snow on her face. She reminds me of my Springer Spaniel, Buddy. He loves the snow and will bury himself in it and roll around and get all covered in snow. My Boston hates the snow.

That Awful Dog sure is cute…

  9. that’s a crazy good shot. i have spent a lot of time with that breed and i feel your frustrations. maybe you should get some sheep too. keep her busy and away from eating her furniture.

Gorgeous shot – I just love the detail of the snowflakes on her head. She has such beautiful colouring, and cute little teeth! LOL

My cat Stitch is a royal pain in the butt sometimes (Lilo is the peaceful one…he’s more like his namesake!) but I wouldn’t change him for the world. He’s amazing, a crazy little character, and the little moments (like the one above) make it all so worthwhile :)

She is awful. Awful adorable. I know she eats her poop and licks your face, but hey, I don’t live near there, so she doesn’t lick me! I’m about to adopt a fuzzy ball of some sort. We’ve applied to adopt a rescue dog. It’s almost the process of adopting a child, but slightly cheaper. I hope to be the proud mom of a Shih Tzu or other “young” but not puppy age (must be > 1 yr old) rescue dog. Good luck with the cat (Chuck) and the dog (Coco)… and the wife and the kid and the kid to be. You’ve got your hands full!!!
