Leta’s Favorite
March 6th, 2009This was one of about seven of Leta’s favorite flowers from our vacation walks. Our first walk was as the sun was setting and she had hit the cabin fever/stir crazy stage. Most of the flowers were closed up as the temperature cooled. The next day, we walked the same route and she loved seeing the flowers opened up.
We’ve tried hiking with Leta in the past. She’s always hated it even when she was a few months old. Maybe she’ll turn into somebody who likes nature after all.
A dad can dream. o

Leta has good taste! I’m a sucker for anything that even remotely resembles a daisy.
this picture is amazing. the flower is so perfect looking it almost looks fake. I LOVE it!
My dad still carries that hope in his heart. And I still think dirt is gross. Sorry Dad.
Beautiful photo!
not to be a hater, but it looks a little blown out to me. Exposure compensation?
When I was a kid, my dad would take pictures of flowers on our vacations. I would make fun of him. This continued well into my high school years.
Now, I take pictures of flowers on vacations…
I can only imagine what our future daughter (coming in June) will say about me.
There’s hope for everyone.
My preschool loved these, we planted them last year. So, in case you would like to see your daughter explode with the favoriteness, the flower is an African Daisy, the variety is called ‘Vanilla Sky’. Enjoy! It’s a beautiful photo.
I love these flowers too (Osterpermum) and grow them every year in pots. They don’t grow all year round in the tundra. Lovely phhoto!
