Badvertising – Nice Rack

Recent travel dictated that I purchase a PC rag to read while waiting through endless security checks. Normally, Blurbomat would not include in it’s gallery of bad ads those in the rear of a technology based magazine. However, this one crossed the line.

Far be it from us to decry the power of cleavage. But this is a travesty on every level. Questions are spawned like rabbits in spring. If I’m looking to have a domain hosted, do I really need to know that the server rack is a 48DD? Is it critical to my site? Is it going to make me feel better when my domain is down? And what about the model? Is she empowered by this, striking her pose inspired and Camille Pagliaesque? And what about the designer of Mistral, the headline typeface?

It’s terrible. The agency should be fired. The client should be fired. I’m thinking of firing myself just for looking at it. The taint of misogyny is just too strong.
