Bodega

One of the things I miss most about analog photography is the unpredictable results from developing the film. I only developed a couple dozen or so rolls back in the day, so most of my experience with developing comes from color labs. Cross-processing was one of the things that yielded the most unusual results and could result in the most awesome photos ever or a complete disaster. The anxiety around waiting a few hours for the contact sheet was kind of like being a kid again, hoping that Santa would deliver the goods.

With the advent of digital processing, desirable results are far easier to achieve. Love what happens to the edges on this one, especially the clouds. It’s probably too affected, but I don’t care. I love this shot.
