Chalk Stories

All of the boulders close to the road in the Big Bend area look like this. Some of the chalk residue makes perfect sense and on first glance, some of it looks insane. Studying the various positions indicated created a kind of Twister image in my head: right hand, green; left foot, red. I know that’s overly simplistic, but that’s what popped in my head. When you watch somebody boulder, it’s even more freaky because of the crazy positions they have to do to get to the top of the rock.

Just now starting to feel like January is giving in. I’m no longer shackled to an illness or terror. I think it’s my least favorite month. Of all years. 9 more days and I’ll feel like I’m climbing up and out. I can finally write the rest of the Drupal to WordPress migration posts. This is so typical of the crap that I let happen. Have ambitious plans to write several long form pieces. I have a good start. Then it dies under the weight of all the other crap I let get in front of it. I’m vowing right now to finish that series.
