Lincoln Mark V

This beauty was parked in front of the hotel as I was leaving Houston Sunday morning. The taxi pulled up about 10 seconds after I started shooting, but I couldn’t let this car just sit there without getting a few frames. Alternate title for this one: They don’t make them like they used to.

That sounds a little too get-off-my-lawn, but in this case, they do not make them like this. The car was in excellent condition and the dash was something to behold. I had to choose what to shoot very quickly and the angles to get a decent shot of the interior were too difficult to shoot without touching the car. I didn’t want to touch the car.

In other news, we’ve entered the extra dramatic phase of the three year old. Oscar caliber performances in all of the following: Bedtime, Mealtime, Brush Your Teeth, Put Your Toys Away. It’s something to behold. I always default to oh my god something is wrong and half a second later after I take a quick inventory—blood? Not crying in pain? Sobbing for the sake of sobbing. Got it. She’s working me. That’s when she gets ignored. This works surprisingly well. It’s amazing what 30 seconds of ignoring can get done.
