Yellow Light Bath

Shot this a few days ago in the morning light. I loved the contrast of the dark base of the trees with the fire up on top. It’s the golden light that makes me love autumn so much. It’s like a bath before bedtime.

Final stretches of a large project and while I’m half holding my breath, I’m looking forward to the exhale once it’s done.

I seem, regardless of how much sleep I get, to teeter on the brink of a wicked illness. From the first of October until now, some days are fine, others I feel like I could fall into bed for weeks. Maybe time for the B family of vitamins. Do they make one that goes to 100?

Finally, the U.S. election. It’s over and my guy won. I’m thrilled at the prospects. Any major change will be hard fought and given the make up of the House, I’m wondering if this election’s message will be internalized by the GOP. For me, this election was a message to the extreme elements of the GOP: America is changing and your ideas might sound great if heard on the radio, but those ideas are a minority position and far from the realities that the rest of America lives in. That a Democrat won as a state representative in Utah over a Tea Party candidate after a heavily gerrymandered redistricting which created the fourth district in the state should be a bellwether moment for the Tea Party. Here are some of the stories about this race from outside of Utah:
